Action Network Advisory on Small Arms (ANASA) was registered on 6th October 2008 under Certificate of Incorporation number 75248 as a “Company Limited by Guarantee”. ANASA has Not-For-Profit organization status.
ANASA is a loose network of organisation and individuals bound together to save life.
Our Vision
A safer and peaceful Zambia, free from illicit small arms and light weapons and their misuse.
Our Mission
To contribute towards the promotion of sustainable peace, development, human security and respect for human rights through prevention of the proliferation and misuse of small arms and light weapons.
Objects
The objects for which the Organisation is established are:
1. To serve as a forum for the exchange of information, views, experiences, and strategies in combating the proliferation of small arms and light weapons in Zambia.
2. To support and develop the network of organisations and interests which are concerned to combat the proliferation and unlawful use of small arms and light weapons in Zambia.
3. To work for the reduction of demand for small arms and light weapons in Zambia.
4. To be a source of solidarity among all those who work on small arms and light weapons issues and may be affected as a result of their work or who may be victims of small arms and light weapons
5. To promote human rights as set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 10 December 1948.
